Meet Brooke Kelly
Helping Students Build the Skills They Need for College, Careers, and Life.
Hi, I'm Brooke Kelly, founder of Preceptor Services. I created Preceptor Services because I believe success is about much more than grades. Students need the confidence, skills, and independence to manage their time, stay organized, advocate for themselves, and navigate challenges.
The most rewarding part of my work isn't a report card, test score, or college acceptance letter.
It's watching a student who once doubted themselves become confident. It's seeing a student learn how to stay organized, take ownership of their work, overcome obstacles, and realize what they're capable of achieving.
Those moments are why I do what I do.
Through personalized tutoring/student success coaching and college consulting, I help students strengthen their academics while building skills that will serve them far beyond the classroom.
Because true success isn't just about getting into college or earning better grades. It's about helping students develop the confidence, skills, and independence they need to thrive for years to come.
Why Families Choose Preceptor Services
Unlike traditional tutoring companies that focus solely on academics, I focus on the whole student.
Every session is designed to strengthen:
-
Academic performance
-
Executive functioning skills
-
Organization and time management
-
Study habits and test-taking strategies
-
Communication and self-advocacy
-
Goal setting and accountability
-
Confidence and independence
My goal is not to create students who rely on tutoring forever. My goal is to help students learn how to succeed on their own.
Education, Experience, & Expertise
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Minor in Social Work from Sacred Heart University, graduating with honors and receiving recognition for academic achievement and leadership.
My background in psychology, human development, learning, motivation, and human behavior allows me to understand not only how students learn, but why they struggle and how to help them move forward.
As a certified Honors and AP course tutor, former Special Education Assistant Teacher, and student mentor, I have worked with students representing a wide range of learning styles, abilities, and educational needs.
I have experience supporting students with ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), executive functioning challenges, learning disabilities, anxiety, test anxiety, organizational difficulties, gifted and twice-exceptional learning profiles, and students with IEPs and 504 Plans.
Because every student is different, I believe every student deserves a personalized approach.
College Admissions Expertise
As a former Assistant Director of Admissions and Recruitment at Sacred Heart University, I had the opportunity to work directly within the admissions process and guide students and families through one of the most important decisions of their lives.
This firsthand experience allows me to help students:
-
Build strategic college lists (individualized questionnaire provided)
-
Understand what admissions officers look for (insider hints)
-
Develop compelling applications
-
Strengthen essays, personal statements, and supplemental materials
-
Stay organized throughout the admissions process (personalized timeline)
-
Navigate college decisions with confidence
My approach combines admissions expertise with executive functioning coaching and accountability, helping students stay on track from start to finish.
